A dramatic, one-of-a-kind interpretation of the Kansas City Temple, set against a richly layered red, gold, orange, and deep blue evening sky.
This 16x12 original acrylic painting on canvas is more than a traditional painting, it is a mixed-media dimensional artwork. The temple and surrounding foliage are constructed from two layers of individually laser-engraved wood pieces, which have been carefully stained, painted, and layered over the canvas to create depth, texture, and architectural detail.
The warm tones of the wooden temple and foliage stand in striking contrast to the sweeping sunset sky. The gold in the sky is metallic, and shimmers as light touches it, as does the reflection in the windows and everywhere the light touches. The layered woodwork gives the piece a subtle three-dimensional quality that changes as the light moves across it.
This is a true one-of-a-kind original. No prints or reproductions will ever be made, so the purchaser will own the only version of this artwork.
It comes complete in the black floating frame shown, finished and ready to hang on the wall.
Details: 16" × 12" original acrylic and mixed-media artwork on canvas; double-layer laser-engraved, stained and hand-painted wood embellishments; black floating frame included; one-of-a-kind original; no prints will be produced.
